In 2001 Robert Genn and his daughter Sarah continued on their second and final summer journey on the Mackenzie River. Robert Genn notes – August 3, 2001: “One big sky after the other. Not even a lot of subject matter. Under the cathedral of the sky you tend to work with and pay attention to what’s available. Cumulous, Stratus and Cirrus were often the principal actors of our paintings. A lot of vapor.” The painting “Mackenzie Garden and Shower” offered here is one of the works from the 2001 Mackenzie River expedition.
