This elegant 4-arm German silver candelabra is a stunning example of mid-century European silver craft, combining classic mid-century contours with organic, fluid modern proportions. Masterfully produced by the renowned silversmith firm Wilhelm Binder, the piece features four elegantly contoured, sweeping arms culminating in beautifully fluted candle cups with wide, integrated bobeches. The central pillar anchored by a scalloped, lobed dome base provides exceptional stability. Currently showcasing a deep, richly dramatic vintage patina that accents its sculptural depths, this piece stands as an exceptional functional centerpiece for the discerning collector of European fine holloware.
The lower rim of the base features an ironclad set of pristine, crisp hallmarks including the German Imperial State crown mark, the “835” fine silver guarantee, the official “WTB” maker’s stamp, and an internal factory production batch stamp. Preserved in excellent structural condition.
Preservation Note:
We intentionally do not polish or clean our silver, choosing instead to leave it in its natural, time-earned condition. This allows our clients the freedom to appreciate the current patina or to have the piece cleaned to their own preference, ensuring it suits their individual taste and intended use.
