Overview
A commanding, estate-scaled 20th-century impressionist oil painting depicting an intimate garden table set for two. Signed lower right by the artist, W. Francis.
Dating to approximately the 1980s, this major canvas captures the vibrant play of morning light and shadow across a private terrace. The composition is built with rich, layered brushwork, pairing a densely packed floral centerpiece with cool, dappled garden tones in the background. Given its exceptional 30” x 40” scale, this piece serves as a true architectural focal point, making it an ideal choice for a principal living space, dining room, or foyer.

The Frame
The painting is housed in its original, heavy exhibition-grade wood frame. It features a distressed silver-gray outer molding accented by a classic fabric linen inner liner. The frame is in excellent vintage condition and significantly enhances the painting’s overall presence.
