Mary Prittie was a well know local artist who resided in Port Colborne, Ontario from 1939 until she died in 1999. A founding member of the Port Colborne Art Club in 1964, member of the Ontario Society of Artists (OSA) in 1985, member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour (CSPWC) in 1998 and member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts (RCA) in 1996.
