While the majority of the knives bear the Sheffield 1952 hallmark (‘K’), the set includes one piece from the same production cycle dated 1948 (‘F’) and 1951 (‘I’). As was common with heritage silver firms, these were matched from the jeweler’s active inventory to provide a perfectly uniform set in pattern and weight at the time of purchase.

Condition:
Excellent vintage condition. The silver handles show a beautiful natural patina that can be polished or left as is for an aged look. The blades are clean and secure.

Presentation:
Housed in the original dark blue case with a cream silk lid lining and black velvet base. case size is approximately 6” x 7 1/2” x 1 1/4”. Minor wear to bottom to bottom of case from use.

We intentionally do not polish or clean our silver, choosing instead to leave it in its natural, time-earned condition. This allows our clients the freedom to appreciate the current patina or to have the piece cleaned to their own preference, ensuring it suits their individual taste and intended use.
