Toronto born, Jack Reid was self taught watercolour artist who became a highly sought after educator of his craft. His artistic career of painting consisted of more than 60 years and included over 25 years of teaching watercolour workshops plus he was an author of watercolour technique books. He was a member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolours, member of The Arts and Letters Club of Toronto and has exhibited with the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour. Jack Reid was awarded the Commemorative Medal by the Canadian government for his contribution to Canadian art.
