E. B. Cox produced numerous small works such as this simplified bird of stone resulting in an affordable option to the avid collector of his works.

Born in 1914, E. B. Cox, was a self taught artist of international recognition although he didn’t become a full time sculpture until 1952.  His works ranged from massive 7 ton stone works all the way down to small 4″ stone carvings. Many of his large sculptures can been seen throughout Ontario with the highest concentration in the Toronto area. Some of his various media include, different stones, metals such as bronze and steel, enamel on copper and wood. He was a member of the Sculpture Society of Canada, a member of the Ontario Society of Artist where he exhibited 7 works between 1955 to 1965. He is listed as being  an Associate Royal Canadian Academy member 1960-72 with works exhibited in the years 1955, 1958, 1960 and 1963.
