In the early days, members of the Group of Seven traveled north into the rugged Algoma’s region landscape riding in Algoma Central Railway (ACR) box cars. This 1953 CNE exhibited work measures approximately 22″ x 25″ and captures the ruggedness of the Montreal River landscape of the Algoma District of Northern Ontario. Best described as Canadian school and showing a heavy influence by the Group of Seven on the artist. Mounted in it’s original frame with the exhibition label attached verso.
