An exceptional piece of early Canadian jewelry heritage, this antique Great War (WWI) sweetheart link bracelet was retailed by the prestigious Toronto house, Ryrie Bros. Circa 1914–1918, the bracelet features 8 articulated sterling silver panels beautifully finished with vibrant, cold-painted enamel representing the national flags of the Allied Powers.
This piece offers an extraordinary historic snapshot of Canada’s wartime allegiances, documenting the prominent nations that formed the Entente alliance. The reverse of the primary link is distinctly stamped with the crisp maker’s mark “RYRIE STERLING”. Ryrie Bros. was famous for their elite Toronto clientele and top-tier silver selections before fully expanding operations under the Henry Birks & Sons name.
